About Me

I was born and raised in the countryside of Spain surrounded by nature and calmness. At 18 I decide it was time to see the world and leave my beloved town. So I move to Barcelona where I have been living for 6 years traveling as much as I could afford. In the meantime, I also spent one semester in Tokyo, which I recall as the best time of my life.

But alas, I moved to the West Coast in the US to pursue my dream of being a romantic comedy scriptwriter. I failed miserably so I'm doing a PhD in Economics instead.

My most precious souvenir is the people I have met while traveling and everything I have shared with them. I’m a very friendly open minded person who is interesting in almost everything, but specially economics, movies, nature and of course traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During all my trips I have encounter many couch surfers who told me about their great experiences, I think is time to stop listening and start doing. I really like to meet locals and hang out with them.

Unfortunately I cannot host anyone at the moment, since I’m planning moving out quite soon.

Interests

I am very talkative and also interested in a huge variety of fields: economy, architecture, travelling, movies, politics and nature. Despite this, I love to learn from others and listen to their stories experiences or anything they want to share.

About my hobbies: when home, I really enjoy cooking and watching movies or TV-shows. Nonetheless I’m more an outdoor person; I’m always trying to find the cool and hidden spots on every city I visit. I do sports several times per week, in particular I enjoy swimming, biking , running and indoor football (futsal).

Music, Movies, and Books

Mmmmm….that’s a tough one; I will try to keep it short.

Music: Disclosure, Metronomy, Muse, Justice and Daft Punk.

Movies: The third man, 12 angry men, Ratatouille, Interstellar and Moonrise Kingdom.

Books: The Grapes of Wrath, The Catcher in the Rye, The Picture of Dorian Gray, El tragaluz and The Stranger.

TV-shows: True Detective, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Simpsons, IT Crowd and South Park.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Tokyo, I and one friend did hitchhiking for a week across the whole country. We did not meet anyone speaking English so we had to communicate only with our basic Japanese.

We started from Tokyo and arrived until Noto Peninsule, where our tent was completely destroyed by a storm, it was awesome!!!

We meet so many people during the trip and live so many adventures that I cannot wait to do something similar. That’s one of the main reasons I want to do Couchsurfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to prepare some tasty Spanish food and of course I will gladly share all my knowledge about Europe, I have been in almost every country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I said before, I’m very friendly and talkative, so I would love to have a nice conversation and I can also prepare dinner for my host. I think there is no better way to say thank you that with an amazing Spanish omelet or spicy fajitas. However, I understand they might not have a lot of free time to spare so I can manage on my own. Nonetheless, I prefer to hang out with my host.
