About Me

CURRENT MISSION

(Re)encountering the world, once, twice… endlessly.

ABOUT ME

Hey! I’m an easygoing and curious guy who loves meeting people and sharing good moments. I enjoy great conversations, the kind that flow naturally and make you see things from a different perspective. Music is usually part of the vibe too.

I like writing little reflections about life, experiences, and the people I meet along the way. Everyone’s story has something to teach, and I find that fascinating.

It’s hard to describe myself in a few lines, but I’d say I’m open, spontaneous, and always up for connecting with genuine people.

What goes around, comes around

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I’m just starting my journey, taking things one step at a time. I love meeting travelers, helping whenever I can, and sharing the beauty of my country. Every place I’ve been has a story, and I’d be happy to show you around so you can create your own. Let’s explore and make some good memories along the way!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't used the app in a while, but it's been awesome for meeting great people from all over the world.

I remember, for example, this travel blogger from Ecuador who was backpacking all through South America. He crashed at my place in Caracas for a few days, and we just hit it off. We spent the time walking around, having deep talks, eating good food, and chatting about everything: culture, trips, and dreams. It was a totally real connection.

I also hosted this really cool French family. The mom was actually born in Caracas, but she moved when she was tiny, so she only had fuzzy memories of her childhood. Sixty years later, her son brought her back! It was so moving watching her slowly recognize places, smells, and sounds, even if everything looked different now.

Experiences like these teach me that every meetup leaves something good behind. I'm hoping to keep adding more stories that help me find the beauty hiding in the daily grind of my country, just from a different angle.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m curious about art. Movies, music, and books are my favorite ways to see the world and connect with people. Every story, melody, or scene leaves a little mark.

I love swapping favorites with new friends: a movie that made you cry, a song that feels like home, or a book that blew your mind. That’s how the best conversations start.

Here are a few of mine, and if we meet, I’ll share the rest over a good chat and maybe a coffee.

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Big Fish, Closer, Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Coco, Inside Out, and a few Venezuelan gems like Postales de Leningrado and Azul y no tan rosa.

Series: Stranger Things, Merli, La casa de papel, Sense8, The White Lotus, Big Little Líes, Grace and Frakie, Desperate Housewives, How to get away with murder.

Music: Britney Spears, Sam Smith, Rosalía, Dua Lipa, Bomba Estéreo, Zahara, SYML, BAJOCERO X, P!nk, Coldplay, Alanis Morissette, Novo Amor, Tracy Chapman, and many more.

Books: The Little Prince and The Unbearable Lightness of Being, timeless favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pose nude on a major avenue in Caracas for the American photographer Spencer Tunick. Me and 1.500 other people. Complete madness.

Travel to the Amazonas (Venezuela- Colombia) and encounter extraordinary people.

To assist with a birth in a rural Amazonian village. Everything went well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Colombia, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom
