I live in Silicon Valley near San Francisco in California. I am partner at an accounting consulting firm. I am originally from Russia but have lived in the US since 1999. I am married and have a son and two cats.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been studying Japanese language for the last 5 years, and visited Japan 4 times. I have been in many places in Japan including 東京、大阪、京都、神戸、姫路、松本、岐阜県、名古屋、松山、和歌山、天橋立、下田、日光、高野山、札幌、定山渓、高山、江ノ島、立山黒部アルパインルート、等. I have also climbed Mount Fuji. i look to meet people during my travel who can become friends and to practice my Japanese. Maybe one day I will make my mind and come to live in Japan for a few months.

In 2018, I will travel to Russia to see the 2018 World Cup, my first time at a World Cup and I could not miss it happening in the country I was born in. I will use the opportunity to see some places I have never been to, including Sochi, Nizhni Novgorod, Kazan, and Yekaterinburg.
