Hello! My name is Aleks, I am 27 years old and I'm currently studying Technical Physics in Austria. When I'm travelling, I always prefer to get in touch with local people. Travelling for me is more than just sightseeing and shopping: I like to explore the places I go to, trying to understand the history, the culture and the development. Learning from the differences is one of the best life lessons I have experienced so far! ☺️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first registered on Couchsurfing for my trip to Canada. After being invited to attend a wedding of a very close friend of mine in the Provence of Québec, I decided to stay in Canada for 3 more weeks, since I made a long way from Europe.

After staying at friends' places, Hostels and Air B'n'B accomodations, I finally decided to try Couchsurfing, since I have heard so many positive things about it.

My first experience in Niagara Falls was stunning, I have never assumed it to be THAT amazing. I want to keep up Couchsurfing at different places and gain more experience using it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Red Hot Chili Peppees, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Greta Van Fleet, Wanda, Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats, Paolo Nutini and classical music

I also play the violin and taught myself the basics of guitar. I LOVE to make music!

Books: I love reading the classics, but my schedule is often too tight.

Films: Forest Gump, Star Wars and some Austrian movies (Muttertag, In 3 Tagen bist Du tot, Indien)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Even if I am sort of used to mountains, since Iive in Austria, it is always breathtaking to go hiking in the Alps. The remarkable "Traunstein" mountain directly at the "Traunsee" lake is probably still one of my most favourite places ☺️

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wherever I go, I always try to be a clean, tidy and non-disturbing person. Since I'm not an introvert, though, I'm easy to approach and usually I get along with people really well. I can also adapt to different circumstances, always keeping a positive attitude. ☺️
