About Me

Hi! My name is Aleksander and I come from Szamotuły, Poland. I recently finished high school with a focus on mathematics, physics and Geography, and I’m starting my university studies soon. At the moment I’m working during the summer as a warehouse assistant.

I’m passionate about music – I play the guitar and piano, and I especially love blues. I also enjoy reading books, cooking, photography, and making videos. I have two cats, I like tinkering with stuff, and I don’t mind hard physical work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my biggest dreams has always been to travel the world and see life from different perspectives. That’s why I joined Couchsurfing. Together with a friend, we are planning a one-month trip around Europe before starting our studies. We will travel with backpacks and a tent, but we also hope to meet people along the way, share stories, and maybe stay for a night or two if there’s a possibility.

We want to document our journey on an old VHS camera, meet new people, learn from them, exchange cultures, and create memories that will last a lifetime. For me, it’s not only about traveling but about connecting with others and hopefully keeping those friendships in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a big fan of classic rock and blues. Some of my favorite artists are Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, John Fogerty , Chuck Berry, Jim Morrison Steppenwolf, The Rolling Stones, and of course The Beatles. Lately I’ve been listening a lot to Keep On Growing by Derek and the Dominos.

When it comes to books, I love classics like 1984 by George Orwell, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Harry Potter, and The Hobbit. I also enjoy Polish crime novels by Marek Krajewski and books that help me grow and reflect.

Movies & series: one of my all-time favorite movies is Dead Poets Society. From TV series I really enjoy Bojack Horseman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, one of the most amazing things I’ve experienced was creating truly strong and lasting friendships. For me, meeting new people and building such connections is something I value the most – and I hope to make more of them while traveling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach or play together some chess, as well as guitar and piano – I love to learn new songs and exchange tips with others. I’m also good at gardening and cooking, and I really enjoy spending time with people, whether it’s going out together for drinks or just having a nice evening at home. I’m always curious to learn new languages and exchange cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversations, music (playing guitar or piano), and cooking – I would love to prepare a meal from Polish cuisine. I can also help with small things around the house or garden.

I enjoy telling stories from different cultures I’ve learned about, and we could even record a short film together if you’re into that. Most of all, I offer long-term friendship and connections if someone is open to it – because for me, meeting people is not just about a short stay, but about building something that lasts.
