About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep a healthy life balance in workaholism provoking environment. Learn how to respond to life events in composed and kind manner.

ABOUT ME

I'm 31 years old (however writing 25 is always my first impulse) and I doing PhD in clinical medicine studying molecular biology of Alzheimer's disease, something very personal to me. I started travelling outside of Europe just few years ago and I loved it. Backpack and budget style is the way to go!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge, place yourself in somebody shoes and think twice. Treat people as you would like to be treated.

Squeeze as much as you can from everyday, or at least try when life seems to be a bit too normal or bleak.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to meet new people and I'm open for hosting visitors. Currently I'm not able to host people as I'm renting just a room in a house-share and my flatmates aren't into couch-surfing :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a couple couchsurfing experiences mainly through my friends who are very active as a couch-surfers. I like when people want to spend time with me during my stau, it's a beautiful way to meet new people who otherwise would never come together and the best way to travel the world- as I like to call it -closer to the native way. My friends very often hosts so we usually would go out with the person being hosted if they had no plans. I also understand people who work and are to busy to participate but still are wonderful enough to help others.

Interests

I love reading. And then reading once again. My job is my great passion - biomedical science is wonderfully rewarding. Neuroscience is something I would love to work on. Love music and life music, dancing! Party, and then a bit of dark and deep drum&base or jungle for a perfect rave night. Meeting people, especially the weird ones who can't be easily labelled.

I love snowboarding however I don't think I'm very good at it :) I started kitesurfing this year but it's still long time before I can fly! (scratch that, quit kitesurfing - it's bloody terrifying :)) I do a lot of climbing, mainly sport climbing both indoor and outdoor- love the exposure and constant struggle of mind and the fear. I love the fact that is both physically and intellectually challenging sport.

Doing a little bit of yoga to help stretch all those sore muscles and tired brain :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love science fiction and cyber punk. I enjoy reading on human evolutionary psychology and related subjects.

Im one of those people who listen a little bit of everything (I know some of you cringe when you read it, I used to be like that too :) ). But my favourite are old and new funk rhythms, afrobeats and various jazzy fusions.

Haven't watched many movies recently but I love black comedies, Adam's apples one of my favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trying to defeat my phobia of deep water wherever I go!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can bore you to death with impact of dementia on our societies. I can tell you stories of what it really means to be a molecular biologist. Some people find it interesting, some people find it deeply boring. I can teach you climbing if there is a climbing wall close to your house or we can rock some good yoga poses for any pain you may have! A little bit of this and that :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm quite chatty and easy going. I don't like small talk too much, I like to have meaningful conversations although don't worry, I'm not going to search for your childhood traumas. I'm quite excited and love good dance, quite a night owl - I like to think that I can be fun to be around (just not when I have a bad day...definitely not).
