Overview
About Me
A Master student currently in Madrid, Spain. Back home I study chemical engineering, but here it's management-energy-environmental engineering! (go green go!). Now I know that what I want to do in my life falls between the two - up-scaling green tech and make it work commercially.
I have been to Bournemouth, UK, for an exchange program; Chiba, Japan, for a short intern; and Oslo, Norway, for a summer school. The experiences were AMAZING!! Especially when I spent time with the locals talking about everything and nothing in particular :)
After this, I'll be leaving for Nantes, France, in late January, and later in September to Stolkholm, Sweden.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was in hostels I really enjoyed talking to new people travelling like me, sharing our discoveries at the end of the day.
I also had stayed with friends of my Mom's as well. As a local, they showed me (or told me about) the things going on in their neighbourhood which I wouldn't have known, not to mentioned experienced, otherwise!
It's not all about places, but about themselves as well - I have learned a lot about the debating society (and its difference from Toastmaster club) that my host attends, and that he has a real-life armor in the living room (what a first impression!), and the wooden deers the family made for Christmas.
It was fun and exiting in a way I never know it exist, and I can't wait to experience it again!
And I hope that when I'm back home, I can give the experiences to others, too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Spitz for Music: "I'll change into a creature that I want to be" (song: Hanemono)
As I mainly listen to orchestras and Japanese pop-rock and looking to branch out, recommendations are welcomed!
I don't have many chances to watch movies, so they are rather not new:
Studio Ghibli animations (Spirited Away! Porco Rosso!), Amilie, and O Brother Where Art Thou.
Plus The Grand Budapest Hotel that I have a feeling that I'll like it, based on their video of Mendl’s Courtesan au Chocolat recipe.
For books, I love reading children's fictions. I took a Juvenile Literature course back home, and the interpretations were amazing. And there's this lightheartedness atmosphere, too.
I also like documentaries. I like learning, and documentaries explained their investigations to me, letting me know all the secret tidbits!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing Mount Fuji and Jotunheimen, Norway!
Gotten myself to the UK! And Here!!
Applying for a funded exchange program in two days' time was incredibly challenging, and I was happy for completing it. To actually get the grant was amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
What do you want to learn? Even if I don't know it, I'm sure we can learn it together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A company, a helping hand, and telling you about the things I observed in your town which is (most of the time) vastly different from my hometown - the bus, bus fares, and route planning for example. Might be fun for you to know that things ordinary to you are quite extraordinary!
Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
