Overview
About Me
I'm a 24 years old Italian girl. I come from a teeny-tiny town in the Alps and I studied foreign languages (French, English and Russian) at the University of Bergamo, a cute town close to Milan. I have a younger sister, Benedetta, and I'm still living with my parents. I'm currently in Germany to learn german.
I'm the average millennial who doesn't know what to do with their life, but I'm sure I want to travel as much as I can. I love mountains but don't climb them, I just go skiing and hiking with my family. Being a mountain person, I'm not at ease with water, and I dislike seas and lakes in wintertime when they are grey and cold.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think travelling should be a way to deepen the knowledge of a place, to understand how the locals live and to experience the same culture and habits. It's should also be a way to discover hidden gems, away from the crowds of tourist.
Interests
I love riding my bike during the warmest seasons, running and walking; during wintertime, I love skiing and working out at home and I do HIIT, weight training and a little bit of yoga and pilates. I'd love to learn tango, horseback riding, martial arts and massage techniques.
I love interior design, foreign languages, and everything that concerns the well being: nutrition, herbal medicine, physiotherapy and beauty; I'm a vegetarian sui generis, in the sense that I avoid meat as much as I can, but during Sundays, who can resist eating lasagne?!
Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC:
I adore movie soundtracks (Hans Zimmer and Dario Marianelli in particular), classical music (Vivaldi, Sibelius, Beethoven...), Muse, Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, LP, Florence and the Machine and an Italian singer who writes in the dialect of northern Italy, Davide van de Sfroos. I'm trying to deepen my knowledge or traditional Russian and Irish music.
BOOKS:
I love Ruta Sepetys, James Herriot, Sophie Kinsella, The night circus by Erin Morgenstern, Francesca Diotallevi, The big sleep by Raymond Chandler, Jane Eyre and Far from the madding crowd.
MOVIES: I watch movies to relax, so I tend to choose romantic comedies and light movies. I love Far from the madding crowd, La danseuse, Lala land, Silver Lining playbook, Serena, Burnt, Aloha, American Sniper (as you can see, nothing intellectual...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to Ireland when I was 19, working there as an au pair for one year; I did an Erasmus in France for 4 months in Bordeaux.
Countries I’ve Visited
