Hi there! I'm Alessandro, an italian 25 guy living in Bologna, Italy. I was born in the warm lands of the south of the peninsula but, after my 19th birthday, I moved to Bologna to earn a bachelor degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and I'm currently attending a MSc in Chemical Engineering at University of Bologna. Since few years I realised that my biggest dream is to spend the whole life travelling and I can say that I’ve just begun. I found in CS a beautiful way of travelling today: meeting people all over the world, ready to share passions, experiences, give advices about what to do, what to see, what too eat is, in my opionion, the best way to know deeply places I've never seen before. I strongly believe in the human relationships: CS is not merely a way to find a room to sleep one night, is a philosophy based on the beautiful value of sharing. Those values always made me being an open-minded and respectful guy thanks to one of the experiences that helped me in growing up more than the others: hosting people coming from all over the world in my house. I strongly believe in the philosophy of such communities, it goes beyond the simple offering of a bed to sleep in. It is a beautiful way to meet people all over the world, get them know the city you live in, share different cultures and experiences. With respect and curiosity for the world around us.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I'm on CS beacause I would like to experience a new way of travelling. Not only visit new places but also meeting new people who has got a lot of things to say about theirselves and the city they live in. However, for a student can be very difficult to afford expensive journeys and often the only way we have is to use the savings of a lot of months (that often aren't enough...). I think that CS could help people travelling without spending a lot of money.

Interessen

My studies usually don't leave me so much time to devote to my hobbies. However, I like reading, music (both at home and at concerts) and cinema. Three times a week I go swimming. Everytime I have the possibility I travel, alone or with my friends. I travelled alone just once, hoping to do it again and again.
