About Me
Hey there,
I had long been on couchsurfing since my uni years in Milan. After a few years iatus, I'm now back on it, and looking forward to meeting all the amazing new people who have joined since then!
Italian born and bread, I'm currently living in London and I'm working as a researcher at the University of Oxford on a research project that tries to improve the lives of people who work via digital platforms like Uber!
I love travelling (as I guess most of you!) but especially meeting local people who can show you around and give you a better idea of what a place really has to offer! And of course show me the local cuisine!
Apart from couchsurfing, I have done several experiences with Workaway and Wwoofing (this partly explains my break from couchsurfing!).
I'm outgoing and extroverted and always looking to make new long-term friends or simply meet up for a chat, a drink or a meal in the alleys of some random town!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really believe in the philosophy behind couchsurfing...Hosting and meeting people for free, with the main reason being the curiosity of a new acquaintance, the excitement of a new face or simply to help a fellow traveller! A world with more couchsurfers would be a better place!
Music, Movies, and Books
Being it folk scottish music, or deep electronic, as long as it is live and with a group of friends!
When it comes to movies, not much into the hollywood blockbusters..more into independent cinema and small productions!
And books? Difficult to choose, but I always have one on my bed desk!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The gibbon experience in Laos! Dunno what it is? Then google it and book it ;-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I like spending time in nature, hiking, farming, trekking, gardening...but I am also involved in some volunteering projects with people with mental health 'issues' (though issue is never the right word!).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Difficult to say...maybe we should meet for a coffee or a tea and find out?
