Overview
About Me
Born and raised in southern Italy, I lived and studied there before moving to Turin (and later Milan) to study engineering at the Polytechnic schools there. I can't really tell much about my personality since, at this very moment, it is quite a mistery to me too. Apparently my personality is an INFJ type and that says it all: idealist, introvert (or better "a quiet extrovert"), sensitive and sincere. Definetely a good boy :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Moving to another city for studying helped me open my eyes on realities that are so different from the one I was born in. Living in other places was surely a big part of the process, but it was the people I met that made the difference. In the first place the kids I met during university-time from all over Italy showed me that people can come together even when the traditions and background experiences are so variegate. This impression was confirmed when I had the chance to connect with guys from all over the world and once again I discovered that great friendships and teachings can happen when differences are put aside. I'm sure that couchsurfing can help me break this barrier even more: this time I'll be the "foreigner" and I will have the possibility to understand what it's like to be out there without any "national" emotional support.

Music, Movies, and Books
I dig Arcade fire a lot, love Florence and the Machine, worship Kate Bush, right now slowly falling in the French electronic-pop music scene (Christine and the Queens, Stromae, Paradis). In general I love well produced electronic music and alternative groups; I dislike trap music, dancehall and shitty music in general. However I dance to basically anything if I'm with the right people and in the right mood! I know by heart words to almost any queer song you can think of AHAH (not RuPaul stuff sorrynotsorry). I love reading too, expecially narratives and classics. My favourite book is probably Lolita by Nabokov - it breaks even with the Great Gatsby I would say :). I love movies too even though I prefer reading over films. Among my favourites there's surely Mulholland Drive, All About Eve, La Ciociara and many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think that surviving the whole engineering bachelor and master without a nervous breakdown surely counts as incredible achievement ahah. I also think that the personality growth I had during the last few years surely counts too - trust me, that was incredible but there's still more to do.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach anything related to my culture and, if my hosts want to, I can teach them how to cook some italian dish. I want to learn everything about the place I'll be staying: what people do there for a living, how they spend their leisure time, if people are happy there. For the little time I'm there I want to feel as if I was part of the flow : I don't want to simply observe the city and the people but be truly part of it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can surely bring my little italian self to the house! I love cooking and I'd be delighted to cook a good original italian pasta for my hosts. I can totally say about myself that I am a positive person and I love having conversation to investigate and understand what's the differences, but mostly the similiraties, among us. I can totally tone down my self to heavy topics or just being the lighest ever, cracking jokes and being fun. Apparently people like having me around (still have to understand the clear reason ahah) so I'm sure you won't repent it either :))
