Being outdoors as much as possible in all seasons, exploring new places, eating and cooking food (the more bizarre the better), beer and visiting breweries, watching hockey (I'm not good enough a skater to play), baseball and soccer. I love to learn and I am always taking a class of some sort. I value experiences over "stuff."

I grew up near DC and have lived here for nine years, so I've accumulated a lot of insider knowledge on those off the beaten path "local" spots. I can't tell you where the hot new clubs are anymore, but I can point you to a good neighborhood restaurant, bar or brewery and I know of some pretty good parks and outdoor activities that aren't overrun by tourists. I'm almost always good for a Caps game, Nationals game or DC United match! Or a local brewery!
