I'm a 23 years old mechanical engineering master student living in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. I'm originally from a small town north of Amsterdam called Enkhuizen. I come from a tight family with two sisters and one brother. My mother used to travel the whole world and that trait especially passed onto my oldest sister. She is the one who motivated me to travel by myself by telling me lots of wild and fun stories about her own solo-traveling and couch-surf adventures. 3 years ago I had my first experience with solo traveling: A week in Krakau in an amazing hostel became one of the most exciting vacations I'd ever had. I like meeting new people and for that I had found the perfect environment. After that vacation, I visited more and more cities in Europe, solo traveling and meeting new friends, and after this summer it's time to touch down in Valencia. I will be staying in Valencia for 3,5 months for my internship at the CMT institute which has an alliance with the Polytechnic University. I will be researching hydrogen fuel cells which is right up my alley as I'm very interested in sustainable energy technology. Next to study stuff I like to exercise often and I love to dance and go out. I'm into running, not more than half marathons though, and playing squash. And I like drinking craft beers, with my personal favorite being the NEIPA.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'd like to start couch-surfing as I like meeting new people. Up to now my solo-travels have brought me to hostels. However, I'd like to meet more of the locals. I have a room form the 1st of September but I will arrive on the 28th of August. Therefore I thought it would be nice to try to find a couch surfing address for the first time!
