I had to start travelling as a teen almost on biweekly basis as a junior olympic team swimmer across Russia and Eastern Europe... Then I stayed with a few amazing families while doing my MBA in UK. I had a period of work for travel industry in Germany and USA arranging international events (e.g. UNESCO cultural caravan across 7 countries). Then I switched to Life Sciences/ Pharma at international companies where over 50 business trips a year really killed a joy for traveling (((... So by the age of 40 I gave up big business and downshifted taking my time for self-devleopment with focus on arts, photo, dance and ... traveling again allowing new exiting experiences to discover and share:)

I prefer to host single surfers (who are mentally adult). Only foreigners (not from Russian/ CIS)! Ideally with university degree/ current studying and who have been to at least 2 other countries before.

As a freelancer (photographer) I have possibly more time than others for self-development, travel and meeting new people and cultures. It is a two way process where you need to share in order to gain. You learn much more when you stay with locals in a foreign country. I know it from my bitter experience of visiting 65+ countries and I am willing to help those who would like to discover Moscow just the way I have been helped in so many other countries.

Frankly, I have less desire to share with lazy people e.g. those who bother to figure our (prior to the trip to Moscow) a few Cyrrilic characters or if there are other attractions than Red Squire:)...
