I'm an active person who likes to meet new people and explore. I love hiking, canoeing, playing guitar, going for drinks, board games, rock climbing, jazz dancing, and more. It's hard to narrow it down sometimes!

I'm originally from just outside Ottawa, but spent the last five years finishing my degree at Mount Saint Vincent university in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

I got into outdoor education though my work with the YMCA, supporting and programming for unprivileged children and youth. I love being able to make a difference by supporting community growth.

-I love seeing different parts of the world and enjoy meeting new people, so it's the best of both worlds!

I'm really into indie rock/indie folk right now. Things like the Arkells, Frank Turner and the works. I also have a soft spot for classic rock and jazz music. Anything from Gordon Webster to Aerosmith. I'm basically happy to listen to anything though!

For books I just finished Station Eleven. It was an incredible book written by a writer from Vancouver Island, I definitely recommend it! Above all though my favorite two books are The Chrysalids and Ender's Game.

I've been leading two week canoe trips for 11-14 year olds through the back country of Algonquin Park, Ontario this year. It was an incredible opportunity that gave youth an new perspective on the environment around them. One of the biggest things I'd notice on these trips is how they would feel more confident in their own ability to connect with individuals around them in a meaningful way. Being there to support them and show them that they can accomplish social and physical goals that they wouldn't of considered previously is why I love what I do.
