22 years old. Moved to Tokyo in 2016 for an adventure on the other side of the world. I want to meet new people and learn their approaches to navigating the tricky business of life.
New to couch surfing and unfortunately cannot offer to host anyone right now (I live in a sharehouse which stipulates against it), but would intend to in the future.
Took the myers-briggs personality test yesterday and was told that I've an ENFP personality. I'm also a Sagittarius. So if either of those things give you a better sense of who I am then by all means.... :)

To stay on some people's couches! And as soon as I have a couch of my own to offer, I swear I'll do so!

I like meeting people and hearing about their lives and stories. It's great fun to share and enrich our own little worlds with glimpses into other people's!

兴趣

I've played guitar since I was 10. I'm not brilliant, but I can strum away (sometimes even in time!). I enjoy performance, it soothes my rampant ego :D

I'm not as active as I'd like to be. That will be my NYR. I do, however, playing, talking and reading about sport, despite being a pretty noncompetitive person.

Again, I'm quite good at talking about social issues, history, culture, politics and philosophy. But have yet to prove anything, so I will try to do better in the future.

"Lanark" by Alasdair Gray: I sympathise a lot with the character and writer of this book, and he's from Scotland so I guess that makes it feel especially relevant to my life.
"Crime and Punishment" by Fydor Dostoyevsky: opened my eyes to all things artistic.
"As I Lay Dying" by William Faulkner: fully rendered characters that have to go through a lot of pain, for next to no reason. :'(
"Middlemarch" by George Eliot: encourages me to never lose faith in empathy. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez: for showing me that reality isn't everything.

I've studied a lot of humanity related subjects in University, and I really did take an interest in all of them, so I feel fairy confident that I can help anybody who's either in University, or simply needs a wall to bounce some ideas off (a wall with enough vocabulary / know-how to grasp and throw the ball back to you)

I'm a good listener, and have a understanding of how to coach someone to solve a problem in their (personal or professional) life. So if you have an hour and a big sheet of paper then I think I can help you to map out your mind.
