I split my time between making fancy cocktails and ecology work for a living, writing and playing music as much as I can. I very much live a work hard/play hard lifestyle and I thoroughly enjoy those extremes.

I live for exploring and discovering the things unique to each city or place. I'm not very big on typical tourism destinations, I'd rather eat my way around, see parks and libraries, and find a great dive bar.

I love meeting new people and the experiences that go along with it. Every place I've lived I've had people sleeping on my couches or crashing for extended periods, and I've always enjoyed the extra company.

I spent just over 4 months traveling the United States (37 of them), Canada, and Mexico on a solo roadtrip staying with buds, couchsurfing, and camping along the way.

As a host, I can tell you just about everything you'd ever care to know about my city. If you're looking for a night out, things to do, I got you with different recommendations for each day of the week. Want to know history of the place from the the 1800s to the present day? Yup, got that too.

As a surfer, I would really like to know what you love about the city/town you live in, especially places or things that would be easy to miss if you're just passing through or didn't really know the place.

I've been to a bunch of National Parks, been detained at both Canadian and Mexican borders, visited almost every major American city and a whole mess of the small ones. I have travel advice in spades if you're interested in getting around North America.
