Eight months of travelling isn't without its bugetry pressures! But seriously, where else do you get the opportunity to meet so many amazing people, get to know an area from the point of view of someone living there and share your own exxperiences?

Music has been a big passion most of my life. I used to Drum and Trumpet, and harbour intentions of learning the Piano. Nowadays I can mostly be found listening rather than playing - Glastonbury Festival is like my second home.

If a movie has a compelling storyline, I'm normally game. Sadly I lack the Total Recall (ha, geddit?) to list all of my favourites here. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is an all-time standout, along with Inception, Django Unchained, Harry Brown and Avatar (the latter many would argue break the rule above). My favourite film as a kid was The Lion King, and most recent viewing was Argo. Also a fan of how TV is becoming less of the big screen's ugly sister, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Hannibal, Scrubs and Lost are all series that I've been horribly addicted to.

Like to think I have plenty to share about life in the UK beyond the stereotypes (although if anyone else says 'Brexit' to me I might implode...), as well as my experiences from travelling all around Europe and the past two months in Asia.
