About Me

I've been on the road for over 2 months now, I have traveled through British Columbia, Taiwan and soon Japan, my childhood dream. I love to make friends from all different backgrounds. New experiences are they key to a fulfilling life :-)

I traveled a lot in 2016 visiting 11 countries and spent 2017 working to recharge my bank balance... but now I'm glad to be back experiencing new cultures and people.

In 2019 my goal is to convert a van and travel around Canada and the US. It's a big goal which will be hard to achieve but I'm very much looking forward to trying s hard as I can to get there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Adventures are more fun when shared. My experiences of this site have only ever been good and so I want to continue this trend!

Interests

I love the idea of living a minimalist life, with everything you own being in your backpack. My bag is 40l but i'm trying to slowly downsize as time goes on. People are often shocked with how little I travel with.

Making new connections with people is one of the most satisfying things in my life. The majority of the people I talk to (and my girlfriend) I have all met from traveling the world!

Solo travel is what makes me feel most myself even though I find it very draining after a few weeks. It forces you into situations outside of your comfort zone and that's the best way to grow as a person I think.

Music, Movies, and Books

Into the Wild is my favourite book. It's the book that made me do something about my depressing, boring life and to push myself to travel (which was something very out of character). If you haven't read it then I highly recommend it (the film is great too).

I like 20th century science fiction with 1984 and Brave New World being my top 2.

My music taste varies but a few are Grimes, Bonobo and Rich Brian are regularly in my most played

My favourite film right now is Blade Runner 2049. Science Fiction is the genre I enjoy the most.

My top video games are, SSX 3, PUBG, Persona 3,4,5 and Call of Duty 4
