I am from the UK, but have spent the last 5 years travelling on and off. On this current trip I have been away for 15 months and am currently travelling with my girlfriend of 8 years, her name is Grace.

I am very easy going and I'm able to put a positive spin on most things in life (traits my partner finds both adorable and annoying at the same time).

Grace works in childcare, focussed mainly with special needs. I mostly work in call centres as I can basically talk for England.

We are both vegan, love seeing live music and have a real passion for craft beers and trying what every country has to offer (New Zealand is currently winning).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We've been staying in hostels for years but have realised that some of the best times we've had have been in homestays. As much as we love meeting people from all over the world in hostels, it just doesn't seem right that the only local people you meet are the taxi drivers or the person that checks you in and shows you your bed.

Once I'm back in the UK I would be looking to help out travellers as much as possible, even is it is just giving a bit of local knowledge and a tour of the city because lord knows we've needed it before.

Favourite music genres would have to be punk and pop punk.

Favourite films are Pulp Fiction, Fight Club and The Pursuit of Happyness.

Favourite book would have to be Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Though I am not a massive reader as I can sometimes have the attention span of a squirrel.
