Overview
About Me
I am a native Kenyan coast man, that means I come with the rich Swahili history, culture and cuisines.
I can recommend places in Mombasa that can make you connect and "live" the experience and if I'm free I'll give you company as well.
I cannot host at the moment, but if you're stuck just hit me up and I'll find you some place.
I've only hosted three people: two guys, one lady, all at different times and it was fun. I've also hang out with a few people, never met someone I didn't like. Yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is a nice way to make a stranger feel at home, experience the culture and make them have a memorable time in my city/ country. And it'd feel nice if the I got the same treatment in a foreign land.
Also, it is our nature (East Africans), to welcome strangers with opens arms.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movie:
I am into psychological thriller movies, horror or comedy. I grew up watching British comedy and action movies, Hollywood, Bollywood, Dollywood, Nollywood, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, Korean and Turkish movies.
Books:
I have always been a great fun of pacesetters (African authors publishers, mostly Nigerian and South African). Inspired me to write and shaped my imagination. Some of their best books: Forgive me Mariam, Tell me no more, Evbu my love, Double dating, The camera never lies, Wages of Sin.
I have also read some foreign novels from UK, US, and Australia.
Music:
I am not a huge fun of music but if something is good, I'll listen. Not picky on the genre or country or year of release.
I can recommend good Swahili music from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a high school Exchange program abroad, for one academic year, with Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study program & AFS in 2015/2016 in Portland, ME, USA. It was my first time travelling out of East Africa alone at the age of 16 and living in a new continent, country, state and town with total strangers, who now are my second family .
I volunteer a lot, it's the simplest way I can give back to the community.
