Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am just starting out of Couchsurfing, but I am excited to begin!

My partner and I are both very interested in travel, however me being a barista and him a student, we are not yet financially able to travel the way we would like; Couchsurfing could be a way in which we could travel more, without the worry of paying for lodging, and all the while we get to meet locals!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love electronic-dance music, but I'm into many other types of music, from classical to hip hop, my one exception being country. Some of my favorite artists are: Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Little Boots, Goldfrapp, Marina and the Diamonds, Blondie, Cyndi Lauper, Roisin Murphy.

As far as movies, I really enjoy quirky films, like Moonrise Kingdom or Lars and the Real Girl. I also love many classic films, like My Fair Lady, Breakfast At Tiffany's, How to Marry a Millionaire, Casablanca, and more! And every now and then I enjoy a good drama or documentary.

As of late, I have been reading a lot more nonfiction; autobiographies, books on human sexuality and other areas of psychology, and books on food. However, I still have a great love of fiction. Some of my favorite fiction novels are: The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding, Life After Life by Kate Atkinson, Ring by Koji Suzuki, and the Harry Potter series. I also follow several comic book series!
