I’m Alex, living in Paris (yes, that did rhyme).

I work in tech and I’m very curious about people, ideas and cultures. Growing up, I was inspired by a family member who traveled extensively, and that probably explains my obsession with discovering new countries Europe first, Africa next.
I enjoy deep conversations about life, ambitions, relationships, philosophy, but I also appreciate simple things like cooking together, walking through a city, or having a glass of wine after a long day.

As a host:

Hotels are comfortable, but they don’t create real connection. I enjoy experiencing cities through local perspective. If I only wanted a free place to sleep, I would choose a hostel. I’m here for the human experience.

Music-wise I enjoy a mix depending on my mood: electronic music,classic rock, and occasionally latin artists. I’m always curious to discover local music from the places I visit.

For movies, I appreciate psychological dramas and stories that explore human nature. I enjoy movies that leave you thinking long after they end!

In books, I’m drawn to Russian literature and philosophical novels like Dostoevsky and Camus. I like stories that explore the complexity of people.

I once traveled alone to Amman without knowing anyone there, and forced myself to fully embrace the experience like talking to strangers, exploring without a strict plan, and saying yes to unexpected invitations.

I’m an easygoing and independent guest. I don’t expect to be entertained. I enjoy exploring during the day and coming back with stories to share.

I love meaningful conversations about culture, ambition, philosophy, relationships, travel experiences and personal growth. But I also enjoy light moments, cooking together, or simply relaxing with music and a glass of wine.

I can cook simple French-style meals, help with groceries, keep your place clean, and respect your routine.
