Hey! I'm Alex. I'm a super chill guy. I'm a software developer for a software agency in Bentonville, Arkansas. I love programming, web development and building software. I know Ruby, JavaScript, Sass, CoffeeScript and I dabble in Go and Clojure. I started learning to program in Denver shortly after I graduated high school. Had some amazing mentors and there's a great community of developers there. Fell in love with development the more I learned how to code and the more I learned about crafting software and writing code to be clear, understandable and extensible. It's the perfect blend of art and science.

I'm a musician and hugely passionate about music. I have a very broad range of music I enjoy from classics like The Beatles, Sly and the Family Stone and Van Halen to modern pop like Justin Timberlake and Ariana Grande, to rap, post hard core, chill acoustic singer song writer stuff. I've played guitar for about 4 years now, I love electric and acoustic. Favorite guitarists are Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Tommy Emmanuel, John Mayer and Will Swan. I also play a little bit of bass.

I moved around a fair amount growing up. I've lived in the DFW area of Texas, Monument, Colorado Springs and Denver Colorado and most recently Arkansas. I love traveling and meeting new people. Bentonville, Arkansas(where I currently reside) is a really neat area as there are people from all over the world here due to Walmart having their home office here.

I love traveling, language learning and meeting people. Language learning is very fulfilling, but without people to speak with it's empty. Traveling is fun, but alone it can be boring. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people in the community and be around experienced travelers.

I love programming and music. I enjoy disc golfing, rock climbing, card games, board games, most nintendo gameboy color, advanced, 64, gamecube and wii games. I'm a great listener, love hearing life stories and sharing my own experiences!

Favorite band is Dance Gavin Dance. Second favorite band is The Dear Hunter. I love rap, pop, punk, post hard core, acoustic singer song writer(City and Colour, Cady Groves, Lewis Watson), blues, classic rock, jazz, and a ton of other stuff.
