ABOUT ME
Most of my travels have centered around the ocean in one way or another. I grew up and went to college on the Coast of Maine, so being on the water has always made me feel at home.
I spend most my time studying, exploring, and educating people about the marine world. If I had to pick, I think explorer would be my ideal job title.
My current goal is to someday dive in the waters off Antartica.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While working as a fisheries scientist in the Bering Sea, I saw some of the most intense weather of my life. Winds were gusting about 60 knots and waves were reaching 30 ft. We were taking water on the deck pretty constantly, but we still kept working.
So there I was, covered in fish slime and having huge monsters of waves dumped on my head. It was pretty incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to tinker with things. Whether it's rebuilding engines or fixing electronics, I'm pretty darn good at fixing all sorts of things.
I play the great highland bagpipes, though rarely travel with them...
