I like to be out in the nature quite a lot, explore cities (I worked as a tour guide on walking tours, thus finding ins and outs of the cities and hidden gems out of the bitten track is really good fun), learn about traditions, folklore, philosophies and religions, people and their languages.
I now live in England's Lake District , a very picturesque land with big crystalline lakes, narrow green glens and steep rocky fells. I can say that I miss the hustle and bustle of the big cities but only once in a while, thus just visiting is ok for the moment. As can be seen in my profile, I'm very much interested in the study of nature, plants and rocks alike; also, if you ask me about drinks, I'd say a cup of tea or a glass of good wine with music on the background and an interesting discussion will make my day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I registered on couch surfing as I want to meet more people that are travelling the world and exchange views and ideas. And of course, things about places we visited.

At the moment I can't accommodate people as I have live in from the job, but if you're in the area, feel free to contact me and we can go out for a walk or tea.

Interests

I usually like to be outdoor and I probably like all the sports related to mountaineering. I have no clue if I tried everything, but til now, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, skiing, caving.... oh yeah, snowboarding.... is on the list for next winter anyway :D.

And water sports as well, luckily I leave in an area with big lakes and I can go swimming and kayaking whenever I want. I also like to be under the water but haven't dived for quite a while.

I also like a lot to learn new languages, as many as possible, after all, it's a never ending diversity of the humankind.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to music quite a lot. It's such a diverse universe that is nice to explore. Styles? Well, especially rock, metal, classical music, medieval music, traditional rhythms, and everything in between. Just to mention some: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Sabaton, Helloween, Stratovarius, Metallica, Haggard, Therion / Caro Emerald, Zaz / Archangelo Corelli, Jan Dizmas Zelenka, Thomaso Albinoni / Hesperion Ensemble.

Books that I've enjoyed reading? Depending on the age, but I would say The Dune series and The Lord of The Rings are my favorite.
