About Me

I've been on Couchsurfing since 2014. Unfortunately, I lost access to my old profile, which had 163+ references. I've uploaded a screenshot to my profile, also reviews from my students.

Hi everyone! 👋🏻

I love hiking, long walks, and spending time in nature. I'm very comfortable talking to new people and can enjoy a good conversation about almost anything, life, ideas, random stories, or deep topics 🌲

For the last three years, I've been living in Tbilisi, Georgia. Before that, I lived in Poland for several years. I sometimes think about changing countries, but both places have treated me well in different ways.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here because Couchsurfing is one of the few platforms where you can still actually meet people. Not just exchange messages, but talk, and connect in real life.

These days, too many people live through screens. I see technology as a tool, useful, but never a replacement for real human connection. I really value conversations, shared time, and genuine presence, and Couchsurfing makes that possible 🌿

Interests

My interests are pretty broad. I enjoy hiking, exploring abandoned or lesser-known places, reading survival and practical books, and spending time outdoors.

I usually connect well with people who are a bit outside the norm. I think being different is healthy, it makes life more interesting 😉

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to work in the music industry, so I’ll try not to turn this into a novel.

Musically, I listen to everything from rockabilly and alternative to metal, though I also enjoy popular music. That said, I tend to respect music from the 90s more, compositions felt richer, more intentional, and less disposable back then 🎸

I enjoy reading informational books, geography, travel, survival, tactical topics, but I also like regular fiction. I often prefer reading books before watching their movie adaptations. For example, The Godfather, the book felt deeper and far more detailed than the film.

When it comes to movies, I’m not a big movie person overall. My favorite is probably The Blair Witch Project. I generally prefer older films; they felt more story-driven and atmospheric compared to many modern movies 🌳

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

“Amazing” means different things to different people, but one experience that stands out was hiking over 80 km. It definitely wasn’t easy.

I usually hike from town to town, but that was one of the longest and most demanding routes I’ve done. I’ve been thinking about creating a detailed list of all the towns and cities I’ve hiked through over the years.

Teach, Learn, Share

Travel has taught me a lot. At one point, I even considered writing a book.

If I had to summarize what I’ve learned so far: do what you love, and don’t chase money as a substitute for happiness, it doesn’t work. The rest I’d rather share in person, if we meet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories from my travels and hikes, I promise they’re not boring. I’m happy to give practical advice for trips, routes, and places worth seeing.

I can also cook (mostly healthy food, lots of grains), and I’m easy to live with: respectful, clean, and mindful of personal space. I genuinely try to leave people and places better than I found them.
