To explore, learn and experience. My next stop is Chicago, and after a few years abroad, I'm looking forward to exploring a new part of my own country.

ABOUT ME

Fun loving, adventurous, and easy going. I love traveling, meeting new people, and having a good conversations over a cup of coffee. Or beer. Before traveling, I was a software developer, but decided to quit and see the world while I could. I spent some time traveling across Asia before I settled in Malaysia for about a year and half working with a startup. I've recently decided to move to Taiwan to learn Mandarin, but am now back stateside and looking forward to heading to Chicago.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing has been an excellent way for me to get to know some new friends when venturing into new cities, as well as getting new friends through hosting. In Taiwan, we'd have as many as 5 surfers at once, and while it wasn't always stress free, it always gave us some interesting stories.

Some of my favorites movies are The Motorcycle Diaries, Into The Wild, Memento , The Fountain, Gone Girl, and most scifi movies like Star Trek, Star Wars, The Matrix, etc.

Books - The Alchemist, Miracle in the Andes, Outliers, The Harry Potters (I grew up on these books), Wizard's First Rule, Norwegian Wood, Man's Search For Meaning, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
