I am a graduate student at Purdue university studying the effects of agriculture on water quality. I love exploring the outdoors and have a passion for learning new things. I love yoga, anything outdoors, slow food, and people that love to laugh.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to explore as many places as possible before I die, and couchsurfing seems like a great way to do it! I would also like to repay any kindness others share with me by hosting great people and helping them to have great experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed once in the Big Apple. Perfect experience and I'm excited to try it again!

I play all sorts of sports including soccer, basketball, tennis, ping pong, ultimate frisbee, racquetball, running, and cycling. I hope to qualify for the Boston Marathon someday. Lately I've been dancing a lot more (mostly hip-hop and a little bit of ballroom). I'd love to learn any dances that you can teach me.

I also love doing all sorts of exploring outdoors, anything from camping to backpacking to rafting to climbing trees. My friends and I frequently go on picnics all over the city, finding new parks and gardens all the time.

For movies, I generally love comedies or something light-hearted, but I can appreciate a good thriller, drama or romance on occasion. The only genre that I dislike is horror.

For books, I like a mix of sci-fi, thrillers and science genres, but I'm open to others if they are written well. Some of my favorites of all-time include Wool, Harry Potter, A Short History of Nearly Everything, and the Gentleman Bastard Series.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Last year I had the opportunity to travel to Sierra Leone for two weeks to implement a solar PV system at a school with the organization Engineers Without Borders. The parts ended up being delayed (mixed blessing) and we didn't end up implementing. We instead used the opportunity to get to know the wonderful people of the country :)

I can speak Spanish okay, yoga is my life, and I love a good crossword puzzle. I'd love to learn Esperanto. I can also juggle pretty well if you have any interest in learning how to do that.
