About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hitting the road with my pooch--visiting friends old and new!

ABOUT ME

I've been in Austin almost my entire life, and although this is a great town, I'm looking for a change of scenery. I'm hoping to hit the road on October 1st and see as much of the country as I can. I'm a freelance writer, and I'll be traveling and writing with my dog as we traverse the country. I like meeting new people and doing new things. I also make a mean queso and brew beer on occasion.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind, rewind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a surfer and a host! Love it all!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed on many a couch in my day, and am a clean and considerate house guest. I'm traveling with my dog this time around, so I hope that's okay! I've hosted people in Austin and on my trip I've surfed twice, once in Augusta Georgia with Kari and once in Chapel Hill with Kristen!

Interests

Traveling (duh!), tennis, brewing beer, smelling coffee, running, the Detroit Tigers, writing mystery novels.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have 6 albums in my car's CD player at present, they are: Ryan Adams, Frank Ocean, Noah and the Whale, Justin Townes Earle, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and The Tallest Man on Earth.

The most recent book I read was The Art of Fielding, which was really quite good...now I'm reading Lonesome Traveler by Jack Kerouac because I'm just a walking stereotype.

The most recent movie I saw? Hmmm that's a tough one. I started watching Safety Not Guaranteed but I haven't finished it yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping 143 meters in New Zealand was pretty damn cool. Hiking glaciers and helicoptering over Hawaiian volcanoes were also a lot of fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone who can teach me something new is okay in my book! If I get drunk enough I can teach you how to dougie, or at least teach you my terrible white boy version of what the dougie looks like.
