ABOUT ME
Having escaped from Norfolk a few years ago, started to explore a bit more. I really enjoy meeting new people and trying new things, I strongly believe we make out own luck and do so by being openminded. Big fan of long discussions, normally on topics I know little about. I'm currently studying medicine up in Leeds University, love Leeds as it combines an exciting city, very friendly people and easy access to surrounding countryside- love anything in the great outdoors, currently kayaking and cycling.
PHILOSOPHY
If I can leave this world a slightly fairer and better place, then I'd be happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just joined, but have couchsurfed with people before, and would like to offer people the same great experience.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Before really heard of couchsurfing as a concept, stayed with various people I met whilst travelling in Africa a few years ago. All were amazing experiences and I was stunned by how generous people were, especially when they had so little in comparison to many of us in England. When I found this site, thought it could be a way of giving something back to the community and enjoying more couchsurfing myself.
Interests
Kayaking (of the white water type), cycling (new to this road biking malarky, exploring the countryside), photography, travelling, cooking and helping the Anthony Nolan charity with the lifesaving work they do.

Music, Movies, and Books
Random mix of music taste, soul/blues if out to dance..Favourite book Catch 22, love a book that can make me laugh.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mana Pools, Zimbabwe. Only national park in Africa you can wander round and sleep out in the actual park, no fences. Not easy to get to, slightly dangerous, but an amazingly unique experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
If anyone has a kayak, I can teach you to kayak! Sadly can't carry mine with me all the time...I really enjoy cooking, especially learning new cuisines or techniques. Can't say I'm likely to teach you much, but who knows!
