About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of Spain & Europe as I can while teaching niños English

ABOUT ME

Easygoing California native looking for adventure. I graduated from UCLA and have been traveling ever since. After conquering the British commonwealth states (Canada & Australia), I am now living in Madrid and teaching English in a primary school. I'm pumped to be living in Europe again and can't wait to explore Madrid and many other places. I consider myself to be friendly and fun - I enjoy interesting conversation over some drinks and food. Sometimes (ok maybe a lot of times) I like to party, but life's too short to stay at home all the time. I love meeting new people and am down to try anything once.

PHILOSOPHY

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've both hosted and surfed a few times. Now that I have a more long term location, I'm hoping to become involved in the community here in Madrid.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I loved getting to host a few people in Calgary before I headed out on my own travels. The CSers I met in Australia were all fabulous and I can't wait to meet more amazing people in Spain.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all kinds of music and always open to hearing what other people are listening to and expanding my musical knowledge.

I'm not too into movies, since I seem to not be able to stay awake through most of them, but I do love TV shows. Breaking Bad, Parks & Rec, Workaholics, Luther, Arrested Development, etc etc.

My favorite book is Ishmael by Daniel Quinn - a must read for anyone interested in human nature & sustainability.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd say the gardens at Versailles during sunset was probably one of the most spectacular sites I've ever witnessed.

Oh, and getting a lap dance/thrown around on stage by a male porn star on my birthday in Barcelona.

Teach, Learn, Share

English! If you need any help brushing up on your language skills or even just conversational practice, I could help you out.

My other interests include cooking & crafting, which I am by no means an expert at but I'd love to share what I do know.

Bartending - just got my certification so I'd be happy to craft some fancy cocktails and show you some flair tricks to impress your friends!

I also studied religion, so if that sort of thing interests you I'd be happy to indulge you in a deep conversation or friendly debate
