About Me

Getting ready for my post-graduate education in California :D

My life is about art, design and music, at least for now. I'm a urban planning/architecture design student.

I'm passionate about languages. Chinese is my mother tougne. I love English and have been using it as one of my daily languages for quite a while since I joined the Couchsurfing community. Y ahora estudio Espaniol con afan. I believe Italian is the most beautiful language in the world. I've learnt German shortly and know a tiny bit about French, Italian and Portugese.

My life experience is based on many different places: my hometown Beijing, Nanjing where i lived for 3 years, and now the United States. Hopefully there will be more in the future. For a couchsurfer, life is about travelling and embracing the new, different things. What may make my stories special to you is my own reflections on them: instead of being a living body, I choose to be a thinker all the time, which creates the depth and uniqueness in me and my life- would like to share with you if you'd like to know.

Anecdote: I've always wanted to settle down and build my home in Canada, don't know why but that's probably a special complex I have for that country.

There's no way that you get to know all about me from here but most likely just a tip of the iceberg. So if you sincerely wanna know about me...well, the simplest way is, to hit me up, and let's meet up and talk.:)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Introduced by a bunch of passionate Chinese and American Couchsurfers at 2010's halloween party, Nanjing. Unforgettable memory.

So far so good. Might not as flawless as I imagined, but I have to admit that almost all of my close friends in Nanjing are from Couchsurfing or introduced by CS friends. CS certainly offered me a lot and changed me a lot in certain period of my life. For this I'd say I always feel grateful to this experience CS has given to me.

I listen to a large amount of music everyday, and I love Karaoke.

Photography, Drawing, Tennis, Chatting with strangers and making friends. :)
Learning new stuff, Architecture, Landcape Architecture, Art and Design.

Music, Movies & Books

I'm mostly into the Pop Culture and a big fan of it. I listen to pop music from the US,UK all the time. Also from Canada,Latin America and Europe sometimes. I like Spanish and French songs, too, especially Latin music from South America (best mucis for dance!). Female Vocalists impressed me tremendously since the very beginning. I started with singers like Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. Shakira, who is one of my favorite singers and role model, met me in person on New Year's eve in 2011 in Nanjing.

Sometimes I listen to current music, sometimes I go back in time...It all depends on the mood...

As for Books, i like comics that can bring me joys. And i like books of architecture and design which are filled with innovation and inspiration.I also read novels like : the Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns and the Twilight Series.

For Movies, since i'm studying Spanish now, I been watching quite a few movies from Latin America and Spain."Celda 211" is a pretty good one of many of them. And "La piel que habito" by Pedro Almodóvar is the one you shouldn't miss!

I grew up watching Harry Potter ;)

Generally,I like movies telling good stories, rather from living lives than distant future(or scientific).I'm also into some movies that are kinda obscure for people to understand when watching once. but after you get it you can't help complimenting how unbelievable the plot really is.(Some call them "indies"...lol) what's more, i also enjoy many horror films that give me a sudden surge of adrenaline(not too much blood...)

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I met Shakira one-on-one in person on 2011 New Year's Eve, gave her my hand-making present, and my blessings in my cripple Spanish, and got autographs and a photo from her and shared kisses.

Travel with fellow CSers to many places(including Yellow Mountain and Hangzhou) within China!

Manage to travel on my own with help from local couchsurfers in the US, including Texas, California, Minnesota and Iowa. (2014)

Teach, Learn, Share

Any kinda people: Whatever color of skin, whatever gender, whatever religion, whatever political view, and whatever sexual preference, rich or poor. I'd like to learn and share experience with you as long as you are an honest, kindhearted human being and easy to get along with. And I thank those people who take me as who I really am and open their hearts to me, too.

Countries I've Visited

France, Italy, Switzerland, United States, Vatican City State
