We're a young married, Canadian couple who recently moved to Europe. We've used couchsurfing for years as we traveled all over Canada, Alaska and the continental USA, as well as Mexio (where we stayed for 2 years).

We love to trade travel stories as well as discuss whatever might come up. We are not particularly skilled in small talk, but give us a deep topic and we can converse for hours :)

Alex is an engineer, currently working on turbochargers for F1 cars and I am a novelist, in the midst of writing my first novel.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Ever since we first heard of the concept of couchsurfing, we were hooked. We've tried, since discovering CS, using hotels and airbnb, but it just wasn't the same. We quickly realized that a trip CS is bland and uneventful. We also really enjoy hosting, as all the amazing travel stories quickly ignite our wanderlust.

And of course, we've made some amazing friends along the way!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Canoeing down the Yukon River for 3 days. On the second day, the river emptied into a beautiful jade colored lake surrounded by mountians, and we arrived just as the sun was setting. Truly a spectacular moment.

We have a wide range of interests we would be happy to discuss. Candice is an English nerd and ESL teacher and Alex loves engineering and science so we could speak to a wide range of curiosities :)

Candice is a decent cook, able to make a wide variety of Canadian and vegetarian dishes. Alex is pretty handy, and is really great at repairing small things.
