ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Kuching in Sarawak, Malaysia which is on northern part of Borneo island. Living in Auckland, New Zealand.

Chemical Engineer and Accountant by training. Self-employed, working in a mix of finance, analysis and project roles for large companies.

Lately, working to fit in with travel and rather than vice versa.

PHILOSOPHY

Work to live, work to travel ... save to travel, save so I don't have to work any more.

You're welcome to stay with us when I'm home and working ... and I'll stay with you (or more likely someone else) when I'm travelling. Simple isn't it?

I've hosted and surfed with people from various countries. Love it!

兴趣

Passionate about food and travel. While I love to cook, I don't do it enough due to work and other activities ... love the hot and spicy stuff (Malay, Indonesian, Thai). As for travel, hey I seem to fit it in no probs. My other interests include yoga and scuba diving; I try to fit it in as often as I can but don’t take it too seriously. Oh ... also like receiving of giving a good strong Thai massage.

I haven't read a book since school! Strangely I'm not ashamed of that ... But I do read when necessary (eg. at work and planning my travels).

Being able to fit in all my travels and my job is pretty amazing. Never getting tired of it (well, the travel part anyway is amazing too. More amazing is that there's plenty more ground to cover :-)

I'm always willing to learn ... be it Thai Massage in Bangkok, SCUBA in the Philippines or Arabic in Yemen! What can I teach? Well, I can share plenty of life experiences from far-away and rarely visited countries. I can make you want to go there too!
