About Me
CURRENT MISSION
David and I are looking to make new friends across the world as we travel and experiences the places we visit through the eyes of locals.
ABOUT ME
Alexandra: I am a lover of travel and an aspiring writer. I am outgoing and looking to experience places authentically. I love to cook, especially family-style meals for my friends and family. I have amazing friends and a wonderful family, and I'm very close with both. I love to meet new people and hear their stories.
David, my boyfriend, is a marketer, musician, philosopher and lover of good conversation. He's also a coffee fanatic and makes a delicious macchiato. David spent six months living and studying in South Africa, which gave him the travel bug.
I have European relatives, so I spent much of my youth traveling, which is why I grew to adore travel and experiencing new places.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to be as open as possible. Put love first. Be self aware and in touch with one's emotions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are hoping to meet new friends through Couchsurfing and get more of a local perspective on the places we visit. We are hoping to have more authentic experiences this way, which is what we are seeking on our current nine-month trip around the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We are new to couchsurfing and are hoping to make new friends as we travel the world.
Interests
I try to write in my free time, and I also love to read. I really enjoy cooking, especially for others, and I own far too many cookbooks for my own good. I love to travel and see new places, and meet new people. I love listening to stories. And I love music, especially going to shows and hearing bands I like live. I love coffee and chocolate an insane amount.
David shares many of the same interests. He loves good conversation, great coffee, whiskey and travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I visited Israel, I hiked up Masada just before sunrise, and when we reached the top, our group was gifted with the most incredible views, as the sun rose over the countryside. It was absolutely breathtaking and incredibly memorable moment.
I'll also never forget visiting Alaska and watching humpback whales breach at sunset, as we made camp on the beach. Truly incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
We love people who have stories to share, and we love people who appreciate the art of good conversation. We also want to meet people who are interested in the off-the-beaten-track places: the really good local food spots, the hidden gems in a city, great places for music and art.
