The time we spend from now till tomorrow, is the time we have in a day. How we use that, is up to us...
.. I mostly use it by wasting it in one way or another. I waste it by playing music, meeting friends, studying and reading, sometimes I work a little, painting and one of my favourites is cooking. Going for walks and reflecting about stuff helps to calm the mind and disentangle, which could be something I should do more ofter.

Three or four times a week my body starts to force me to get rid of some energy. Playing beach volleyball, running, tennis and cycling helps are part of the cure.

And of course, the desire to get out into the world to get to know different places, languages and cultures is something I would not want to miss ever in my live.

I know that it is much nicer to have a local host that can tell you a little about the place you are currently at, then just camping or staying in a hostel somewhere. Often, when I am travelling, I just meet these people on the street and sometimes, I even get offered a place to stay at their place. These coincidences are super nice because they are so unexpected. What you take with you from that visit or city is not just some culture or stuff you did but it becomes people you were with. In some cases you will start to call them friends after these encounters.

Couchsurfing just increases the likelihood of meeting like minded people and having that luxury of a local host.
