About Me
Hello! I'm Alexander. I'm pretty low-maintenance and easy-going. I graduated college a year ago and immediately went to work as a wildland firefighter. Since the end of that summer I've wanted to learn more about farming and permaculture. I really like to read!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is a big part of my life. These days I mostly listen to classical music, techno, and a fair bit of Russian post-punk. I'm definitely a poptimist — Lana Del Ray and Kate Bush are perennial favorites.
As for movies, I love the grandeur and the gracefulness of those actors we see in old historical epics like Cleopatra from the 1960s . I like art house too. Tarkovsky is a favorite. Overall I don't know as much about film in general.
In terms of books I could go on forever; I actually majored in Russian Literature. My niche interest is Soviet literature, but Tolstoy is the author closest to my heart.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have spent 26 hours walking, without sleeping! It wasn't fun but it was certainly interesting, especially once I ran out of food and water.
Teach, Learn, Share
I spend a lot of time in the woods for work so I help you with projects related to gardening and forestry, i.e. installing sprinkler systems, using power tools like chainsaws for removing troublesome trees, and general garden maintenance are all things I enjoy and am able to help out with upon request.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Aside from the skills mentioned above, I consider myself a good listener and think that anyone generous enough to welcome a stranger into their home is someone worth knowing well! I'm a low maintenance guy who's used to sleeping on hard rocks in high places.
