ABOUT ME

Hey, my name is Alex. I'm a theatre techie who once wrote a musical and has since been doing film/video as a hobby. I love to travel, play, relax and make art more than I like to work. I'm not plunging headlong into the future. I'm not a worried person. I like to stop and smell the roses. And sometimes, when I'm in a crowded place I feel as though I'm living in slow motion.
I was born in the U.S., however I am of Russian and Hungarian descent and often go abroad to visit my family. I speak Russian and Hungarian well, I also speak some Slovak.
I live with my partner of nine years. Her name is Karla. She is Dominican, and speaks Spanish.
When I travel, my greatest pleasure lies in meeting new people. I love the idea of staying with locals, and I want to give back, host people and be part of the solution in making travel a cheaper, more accessible, intimate and human experience.
