About Me

I just finished my Studies and are now spending several months in the beautiful country of Mexico.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Germany in particular is not known for its great hospitality. I want to disagree with that stereotype by giving back the hospitaly and help I was offered in many places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen a lot to indie rock, e.g. Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys and Cari Cari.
I also like bands like Tampe Impala, La Femme or Gorillaz that you can hardly put into any kategory.
Further enjoy electric music, mostly by german producers like Moderat, Klangkarussel, Oliver Koletzki and Township Rebellion.
Lately I'm really into electric music that experiments with oriental sounds, e.g. by Nu, Satori or Martha van Straaten to name just a few.

I enjoyed every movie by Quentin Tarantino or Christopher Nolan. I got a personal fable for movies where the characters are on the verge to insanity like Fight Club, Girl Interrupted or The Joker.

My favorite series are Hannibal, Bojack Horseman, Parks and Recreation and Pose

I really liked Stories for Demian by Jorge Bucay and The Parfume by Patrick Süskind.
Lately I've been reading books about gender, feminsim and the patriarchy by german authors like Margarete Stokowski, Linus Gieße and Sophie Passmann.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on a walk to the nearest lake straight through the bushes.

Working over weeks on summer festivals so they've paid for themselves.

Spontaneous adventures are often the best.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't believe in a higher power, but as far as we know we are the only species in the universe that can think abstract and reflects itself. From this I derive that we should use our brains and as we are all responsible for ourselves, we should do good and good will happen to us!

And in the end some smart slogans:

If nature were a bank, they would have already rescued it.

The deadliest creature for men is himself, the second deadliest is the honeybee.

Imagine if trees gave Wifi, we'd all be planting like crazy. Its a pity that they just give the oxygen we breathe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, bad jokes and a lot of unnecessary but interesting animal facts.

Captialism critical conversations after three beers.

And you can also talk with me about fantasy and science fiction stuff, but some would call me "just a regular nerd".
