About Me

Hi, my name is Alex. I would describe myself as a quiet and open-minded person who values meaningful experiences over superficial ones. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life, like exploring museums and art, reading a good book, or relaxing in nature. Movies are also a big part of my downtime, and I’m currently following a vegan lifestyle, which has been an interesting and rewarding journey.

While I’m naturally introverted, I love good conversations about deeper topics and appreciate meeting authentic people who stay true to themselves. I might not be the loudest person in the room, but I find joy in thoughtful exchanges and shared experiences.

I enjoy being active and trying out different sports like hiking, swimming, running, climbing, and biking. I’m far from being an expert in any of them, but they help me recharge and feel connected to nature.

At the moment, I’m working on my diploma and trying to balance work, studies, and self-reflection. Hosting through Couchsurfing is part of my effort to step out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and gain fresh perspectives. I believe everyone has a unique story, and I’m curious to learn more about the world through the experiences of others.

I’m not a professional cook by any means, but I can prepare a decent meal, and I make a pretty good cup of coffee (at least, that’s what I tell myself). My home is not a luxurious hotel, but it’s cozy and has a sunny balcony where you can relax and enjoy some peace and quiet.

I see life as a journey of personal growth, and I’m still figuring out my place in the world – like many people are. By opening my home to travelers, I hope to exchange ideas, hear different stories, and maybe even find some inspiration along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m offering a place to stay because I have the room and want to connect with people from all walks of life. Hosting through Couchsurfing is a way for me to meet new people, learn about their lifestyles, and hopefully find some inspiration along the way.

I believe in personal growth and see this as an opportunity to step outside my comfort zone. By hosting, I hope to exchange ideas, experiences, and cultures in a casual, respectful way. It’s not about big parties or loud events but about creating a space where we can share if we feel like it or keep to ourselves when needed.

Interests

I'm interested in meeting new people and getting a glimpse in different perspectives of life. I'm fascinated by space and just natural sciences in general. I like doing sports and usually try to combine sports or work outs with travelling. I'm especially interested in getting to know you better and show you around the city and give you some tips where to go :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wohnung: You will have a comfortable place to stay in my quiet residence, but please keep in mind that my home is not a free hotel. I value privacy and a peaceful environment, both for me and my neighbors.

Küche: You’re welcome to use the kitchen for cooking, but since I’m on a vegan diet, I’d prefer you not to cook meat in the kitchen. Vegetarian options are fine. If you cook something, I’d appreciate it if you ask whether I’d like to share the meal with you.

Gemeinsame Erlebnisse: I can show you around, suggest places to visit, or join you for activities like hiking or exploring local spots if we both feel like it. However, if either of us wants some personal time, that’s perfectly okay too.
