About Me
Hello,
my name is Alexander and currently I‘m currently a PhD student in Islamic Studies at the University of Heidelberg. As such, you might have guessed, I'm interested in the Middle East and politics. However, this is not all. I also like good music (mostly classic but also jazz) and books. Unfortunately, I don‘t have that much time to read right now.
In my bachelors degree, I also studied Oriental Studies and learned Arabic (even though I wouldn‘t claim that I could speak very well). For that, I was a time in Jordan and Lebanon and enjoy the Middle Eastern cuisine a lot.
Beside my studies, I like to meet with friends, have a good time and meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Maybe I seem to be a bit too old for it, by I highly recomend Michael Ende's "Momo". Also, Stefan Zweig and Heinrich Böll can tell some amazing stories.
Everyday, the radio is playing in the background. I couldn't imagine not living with music and, therefore, I'm very open to a lot of generes although I like clasical music the most. Besides that I try to play more the piano. But I#m not that successful at that.
Teach, Learn, Share
Good food needn't to be fancy. Sometimes the simple things taste better. I would recomend a piece of bread and butter with salt.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to share thoughts and good discussions with each other about nearly everything.
