I'm 22 and studying a mix of maths, Japanese and computer music at university in Australia, hoping to do maths research as a career.
I'm interested in language, the mind, music and the links between them, and love the opportunities to talk to people about them that travelling affords.
I lived in Japan for 2 years as a child, and have been back several times to travel and live since, and I'm currently in London on exchange for a semester at UCL.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 45 days walking around the island of Shikoku in Japan as part of an 88 temple Buddhist pilgrimage. I walked through cities and bamboo forests, slept in temples and train stations, talked to monks and truck drivers, and had so far my most valuable experience of the world and the kindness of the people in it.
