I'm 28 and I live in London. I work as a teacher and as a therapist. I love writing music and I play in a band. I'm obsessed with food and I love cooking and sitting down with friends to eat great food.

I'm coming to Norway on July 10th with my lovely girlfriend and we can't wait! I'm so excited to encounter new people, meals, sights, animals and kernels of knowledge.

I love making sure that I am a pleasure to have as a guest and I am polite, respectful, tidy, friendly and helpful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live with my brother and we have travelled a lot together. In the past we have always used his Couchsurfing account so I don't have any ratings on my profile which I hope isn't off-putting . But in all the times we've been hosted or have hosted others in London it's been wonderful!

Interests

Nature - I love getting away from civilisation and spending time enjoying the beauty and majesty of nature. Whether I am looking for animals and birds or just enjoying walking amongst trees and enjoying the smells and the sounds, I always feel enriched after a day of leisurely exploring.

Language - although I'm not much of a multi-linguist, I love understanding how languages work and helping others improve their English. I teach English as a foreign language in London.

I'm also very into following current affairs, politics, history, the arts and so much more. I'm a very curious person and I find most things interesting!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to music - psychedelic, 60s pop, classical Indian, Western classical, Middle Eastern, and much more. I am always interested to learn about new styles of music and I especially like instrumental and improvisational playing. I am always keen to go out and hear live music in the evenings wherever I am. I also play the electric guitar and enjoy writing and recording my own music.

Cinema - I love watching and learning about films from all over the world. I especially like the cinema of France, Italy, Scandinavia and Russia, as well as South America and Japan. I also love discovering new subjects by watching documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to a football match in Sao Paulo, Brazil with 67,000 other fans and will never forget the impossibly electric energy for that 90 minutes. It was the semi-final game of the Libertadores cup, which includes all of North and South America and Sao Paulo played the Mexican team Chivas Guadalajara. The atmosphere was unforgettable. I walked with my Brazilian friend for over an hour, through what he said were some of the most dangerous areas in the city. Eventually we got to the stadium which was surrounded by a vast circle of noise, bustling touts, cars and vans, food and beer stalls, kids, dogs, drug-users, young lovers, fires, flares, entertainers, police on horseback with guns and swords, and die-hard football fans in the ´tricolor´ red, white and black Sao Paulo FC shirts, hats and scarfs. Inside the atmosphere was unreal. Sao Paulo won 3-0 and the parties went on all night!
