One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life. Is. Amazing.

Ok ok. The one amazing thing I have seen in my lifetime is.. more like the one amazing person i have met in my lifetime was this old man in Melbourne, Australia. I was waiting at a tram stop, on my way to a part time job. He was well-dressed, in a brown suit (fashion from before my time) with a suitcase. He had white hair which was well groomed. He was a small man and hunched a little. He had a very kind and humble face.

It was drizzling quite a bit but he was standing in the rain. I went up to him to bring him under the shade. We were headed in the same direction. I helped him up the tram. And I walked him to this office building. I offered to help him through to the reception but he smiled and kindly said "Don't worry. I know my way around this building very well. It was a great pleasure meeting you, young man."

His name was Maurice. And he was blind. He was a social worker working for a charity for the blind. He was heading to a meeting to discuss further on how to improve the charity. And if there is one thing I can say to this.. It is that it is amazing to see that there is still pure good in this world.

True story!

*ps. He could've been a sex offender or a serial murderer. HAHA. but he showed me goodness at that time. I still like to believe that he was purely a good man though. :s hahah.
