Grew up in the woods in central Ontario, now living in Halifax since 2010. Still not accustomed to "city life" so I venture out into the forests often and am now dreaming of mountains. Always happy to go hike, have a good meal and beer, and swap stories.

Before I knew about Couchsurfing I stayed in Berlin with someone under a similar arrangement. Since then I have heard of many travels a friend of mine has made by incorporating Couchsuring into their plans, and this year met a traveller who had been staying in Halifax for a long time via Couchsurfing.

Various outdoors skills from camping, fire making, wilderness navigation, all of which I've honed through outdoor adventures and volunteering with Search and Rescue. I love sharing and learning new things I can put to use in the wilderness.

I'm also pretty handy with a bike and volunteered at a community bike shop, and am learning how to maintain my car.
