About Me

Hi, I'm Alexandra but you can call me Alex!
I was born in Russia but I live in France (and tbh I think I'm a bit more French than Russian #alwayscomplaining).
I love travelling, finding out more and more about different cultures, and trying crazy stuff!
I read quite a lot, spend quite a few hours a week in a ballet studio and paint whatever comes through my mind, usually whilst sitting on the beach.
I'm on a bachelor degree in Chinese language and civilisation, and sometimes I go to random classes for fun.

So see you soon ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet awesome people while I'm away from home ! And potentially, in the future, welcome some awesome people who are away from their home as well !

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm open to a lot of music genres, and I particularly like alternative electro, rock, pop music, though sometimes I do listen to top charts. I love going to concerts, festivals and local gigs. One of my favorite part during a day is when I get to put on my headphones, get on my bike and play my "road playlist" on the way to home. My dad's got a massive vinyl collection and old CD's that I love to borrow and listen to when reading books or studying. Especially when it's sunny, I love the sun. Sometimes I feel like listening to 80's music, sometimes to future bass electro.
**
I might be a "outdoor" kind of person, I really do love watching movies and series. I'm not gonna hide it, I'm a fan of rom-coms. However, I'm interested in all of the movies genres, and to be honest I find it so hard to pick one movie or serie to watch, takes forever really. Some of the movies I'd watch again and again woud be Colonia, Mamma Mia, Love Actually, Harry Potter, Cloud Atlas, The perks of being a wallflower, An education, Pride and Prejudice etc...
**
As for the books, I'm really open to a lot of different genres, science-fiction, romance, biographical, historical,...I've tried to read those supposed-to-be-interesting-philosophical books and though I'm sure a lot of people find them awesome, and I wish I could too, but honestly I can't help but feel bored after barely one chapter. So I'm always looking forwards to amazing suggestions that will blow my mind.
Currently I'm reading Cloud Atlas, which I absolutely love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to China on my own - best experience so far! I met incredible people there, that I still am very good friends with. I had the chance to visit a few awesome places, and try some of the most amazing food ever. Going there not only opened my mind to different cultures but also taught me to accept and to help each other, to learn every single day, and be grateful for what we've got.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make a proper "omelette au fromage".
Or funny tongtwisters in chinese ....

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, long talks about funny and not so funny stuff ; some laughs and a few beers (though I prefer wine = classic French )

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, China, England, Germany, Italy, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, France, Russian Federation
