They say most people live and die within 15 miles of where they grew up. I am determined to not become a part of that statistic.

ABOUT ME

My name is Alexandra. My favorite color is yellow, and I love the sea. I am a poet, a philosopher, a sailor, a musician, an artist, an actor, a teacher, and a pupil. I am filled always with an insatiable wanderlust, which I hope to never tame. I am a pagan, and I work with the Old Norse pantheon. I prefer the old ways of the world to the way things have been going in the past several hundred years. Sometimes too much commerce makes me nervous, and too much human interference with nature makes me feel out of place. So I'm not exactly a city girl. I love the fields and the forests and the sea. What I do love about cities, though, is the diversity of people. I love the art and romance that cities seem to attract, and for this reason, I can endure urban life for short periods of time (:

The sea and the sky. Fresh air, and good conversation. Sailing, swimming, singing, painting, writing, stargazing, hiking, breathing, loving. I love art, I love poetry, I love nature, and I love traveling.

音乐、电影和书籍

I listen to a lot of different types of music. I like a lot of Celtic music, and renaissance or midieval sort of stuff. I also like industrial music, and most things that can be classified as rock. I like acoustic sounding stuff better than the more electric sounding music.

I don't watch a lot of movies, but my favorite movie is Swept from the Sea. Not a lot of people have heard of it, so kudos if you've seen it ^_^

As far as literature, I love the classics. Oscar Wilde is brilliant, and I am a big fan of Shakespeare. I love classical poetry. I have read and loved the Lord of The Rings, the Hobbit, and the Harry Potter saga. I'm a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe, and Emily Bronte. I will give any book a good chance, though, and I've read quite a few of them!
