About Me

I am a loud, rude and occasionally crude Aussie girl that likes to have a laugh and joke about. I spent far too long taking myself seriously and cannot be bothered with it anymore. Upon first meeting me I can come across as quite shy or stand-offish but 95% of that is just a recurring resting bitch face. I'm finally getting out of my comfort zone again and looking to tick all the countries I would love to visit off my list. My travel has been quite limited due to studying.

I am technically a Research scientist by study yet due to the overwhelming lack of funding and Australias general lack of fucks given about getting graduates into jobs, I now spend my days driving machinery and yelling at truck drivers on the wharf.

I am very much a chaos and conflict person, internally, I mean, with my logical science brain doing constant battle with my naturally empathetic nature. It makes for interesting stuff, particularly when it comes to making decisions! I enjoy discussions of all sorts although I have a tendancy to be a bit of an antagonist, play devils advocate and switch sides just to confuse everyone. I'm quite efficient at confusing people as I have a tendancy to mumble and go off on random tangents.

I love to have a drink and dance around like a spaz, if rain or mud is involved, its a bonus! If I happen to drink enough, you may even meet my alter ego, yet I have a horribly bad memory so I, myself don't remember meeting her.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment, I am on Couchsurfing for purely selfish reasons as I would love to meet or stay with locals while I am travelling. I would rather experience a place, its people and its culture than just see it.
While my current circumstances prevent me from hosting, which sucks, I can offer my services as an advice giver on Melbourne and other places in Oz or hopefully as a tour guide if work permits. I genuinely love showing people how great Melbourne is and I would love to assist them in experiencing it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This question really stumped me. I've done many amazing things but I guess they're all relative to what I deem amazing. My favourite thing I have done so far would have to be sky diving. No rush like it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be absolutely bloody stoked to show any of you buggers how to use Aussie slang words and teach you the elusive "Way of the Bogan" after we get on the piss with a 6er and goon and smoke a pack of durries. (Haha just a brief example of said Aussie slang)

I know a lot of random useless facts about absolutely boring stuff, but I also know some pretty cool stuff about literature, music, movies and of course science.. ask me about science and watch me nerd out! I love learning about people, their cultures, ways, religions and spirituality. I can't teach you anything cool like how to build a sandcastle standing on your head using only your big toe on your left foot and shooting laser beams from your eyeballs but I can be a fairly good conversationalist.

At home, in Melbourne, I have a pretty good knowledge of bars, pubs and clubs as well as knowledge of areas around the CBD. I know some great sites that shouldn't be missed of you are visiting Melbourne which I would be happy to recommend or show anyone that is interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

* A laugh, hopefully some good conversation/banter
*Knowledge of many useless facts
*I can't sing at all. You really don't want to hear me sing. But I can give some drag queens a run for their money with my dance moves and lip synching
*Minimal snoring and farting
*I smell nice (sometimes)
*I'm pretty good at giving hugs.. not so much cuddles.
