Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I like to pretend for that small slice of time that I actually live wherever I am. A large part of that is removing oneself from the impersonal land of big hotels. Living with locals allows you to see a culture and be an active participant in it as well as make some friends along the way, who can guide you through your travel experience better than most.
